It’s ok to be real

Me in my realness…. I’m not perfect. It’s ok. God is working in me…and He’s not done. Be encouraged – please know- that He’s not done with you either. Embrace the journey and the adventure that He has set before you..take the pressure off and allow yourself to be real ❤

Slow down

We were never meant to be so busy that our lives become overwhelmed with go, go, go, do, do, do. God has given each and everyone of us specific tasks to carry out. He’s given each of us different work loads according to our ability to carry thing out. He definitely never intended for us to get so busy (even doing Kingdom business) that we don’t have anytime to spend with Him. For more on gifts of the spirit see 1 Cor:1-31; 1 Tim 4:1-16; Ephesians 4:1-16. We are all meant to come together as a body of believers and do our part and work out our tasks. If your life is constantly busy and overwhelmed, ask The Holy Spirit to show you what (if any) areas you should be stepping down from or if there’s anything that you’re doing that you need not be doing. See Acts 6:1-7 where the apostles delegated responsibility to Stephen because they just couldn’t do it ALL. Let’s come together as the body of Christ and do our part… And let’s all just slow down and seek His will in all we do.
Be blessed!

How I met Jesus

Here it ladies!! My video blog testimony! Feel free to leave a comment, a question- what ever God lays on your heart (If God lays anything on your heart) while you’re watching. I tried to keep it somewhat short…anymore then 10 minutes I know we don’t all have much time. We work, we have children, husbands, errands, and most of all Jesus time. ❤

Getting a little deeper in His truth today…. offense…ouch. There’s no way to avoid it….the question is, what are we going to do with it?

Has someone offended you lately?- Now I say this with love and its up to you to weigh and test and bring it to The Lord. Hear my heart when I encourage you to ask yourself, “Is there any truth in what the person (who offended you) has said?” Now maybe their tone was rude, maybe their language was foul, maybe they were being downright mean….but was there any TRUTH in what they said? To go deeper with Jesus, we have to lay our pride aside and our opinions…and yes, even our offenses and we need to humble ourselves. To draw near to God, we need to be willing to let Jesus show us the hard stuff.

Jesus offended people EVERYDAY by speaking His truth but so many times no one was willing to stop and weigh and test what He said because they didn’t want to hear it. They didn’t want  the truth to come in and shake up their comfy lives.

(Matthew 15:12- Then the disciples came to Him and asked, “Do you realize that you offended the Pharisees by what you just said”?)

I write this post to myself as much as for anyone else reading it.. Offense is supper tough…but how we deal with it can mean the difference between drawing near to God , or putting up walls before God. It can mean moving forward and growing in Christ or standing still and focusing on ourselves-not Him.

My prayer today is that we can come before God and ask Him to help us with our offenses..not to stuff them deep down, not to ignore our hurt feelings but to bring it ALL before Him..the good, the bad, the beautiful and the ugly…all of it. It’s then, and only then that we will be able to move forward.

Oh ….what would this world look like if we could always just give it all to God and let offenses go. I know that this is so much easier said then done…but it’s more than possible because God has commanded us to forgive and not to let offence and bitterness take root in our lives. Seriously…check out these verses – don’t just skim over them, let them sink in:

***Colossians 3:13 (NIV) Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

***Hebrews 12:15 (NIV) See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

If He’s commanded it, IT IS POSSIBLE. He would never ask us to do something and not equip and enable us to do it. Let’s remind ourselves of that every time we ‘feel’ we just can’t forgive or let an offense go.

Feel free to leave a comment below sharing any thoughts you may have on this post. I do enjoy hearing from all of you Xo

#perfectlove ~ Saturated with His love

I just want to share this little bit of what God put on my heart a couple of years ago when I struggled with forgiveness and in turn that caused me to believe that I could only be loved by God if I could measure up..and of course I never could measure up and therefore I always felt like I wasn’t good enough…then one day God started me on a journey of understanding His love and His grace and He’s taken me a long way so far on this journey…. I want to share it with you because when my online bible study mentioned the topic of #perfectlove, God reminded me of this little poem that He downloaded into my spirit so many months ago

Xo Be blessed my friends.

{Saturated with His love}

Nothing I will ever do,
good or bad,
will make God love me less or love me more.
No one or anything,
will take His love away from me.
I’m saturated with His love.
I’m a daughter of the King
and that will never change.
Day and night He’s here with me,
at work and at home
when I come and when I go,
He never leaves or lets me go.
I stumble and fail time and time again,
But now I’ve decided to get back up again,
because I’m ‘getting it’ more and more,
that unconditional love He has:
It’s for me , and it never leaves.
He loves me just as much as the first day I said “hello Jesus, I’m yours now”
And He’ll love me the just as much, no more no less,
on the day I take my last breath and say “I’m coming Jesus to be with you now”
Through my fears and failures,
and through my up’s and down’s,
He’ll never leave me, He’ll never fail me,
His love abounds.
His love knows NO end,
no matter what.
My God loves me,
and that is why I will ALWAYS get back up.
I choose today to believe in that love
and tell you that it’s not just for me,
God loves you to,
He’s saying “come child, believe in me,
I will never ever leave you.”
His love cries out,
it never fails,
never gives up
and keeps no record of wrongs done.
It keeps on forever and ever…
And that my friends, is God’s love.

Keep Calm and Study On

Sooooooooooo, it’s been a while since I’ve blogged it up!! But I’m back and I’m so very excited to share with you what God has been doing in my life. Not that long ago, I did an online bible study through proverbs 31 ministries. The study was on the book (awesome book I might add) What Happens When Women Say Yes to God by Lysa Teurkeurst. It was my first OBS and it had a huge impact on my life. I was able to connect with other women who were passionate about growing in The Lord and I was challenged to say yes to God in some areas that I was having a hard time saying “yes” to.

When the study came to an end, I was determined not to stop saying YES to God just because the study was over. I was also determined to stay in His word. Most of you know by now, that I have 3 littles at home and some nights are long—-> One babe is hungry, one lost her soother and is crying frantically trying to find it, and the oldest comes running into mine and my hubby’s room and says “I can’t sleep”. Oooo those nights are long and I say to you in all honesty it’s mighty tough after broken up sleep to rise early to spend time with my Savior. I don’t like to admit that, but it’s oh so true.

And so then most days are filled with joy and laughter and wonderful memories- those days come with challenges as well- a determined 2 year old that does not want to co-operate because she thinks her way is better then mommy’s way. A 4 year old who is adamant that he does not need to use the bathroom before he goes to the bus stop- well…You can imagine what happened when we got to the bus stop. (enough said)
And with a baby that is teething to be what seems every day and every night, cutting nap (and every other sleep time) short…

Let’s just say that it’s not easy peasy to be getting into the Word.

Good thing I’m stubborn!…maybe ‘determined’ sounds better…. I have been finding different times each day that works best for THAT day to read God’s word and study it. Some days it’s mornings, some days afternoons and some days evenings. Sometimes it’s even in the middle of the night. Some days it’s a half hour, some days it’s only 10 minutes- but everyday, I’m blessed by it.

I’m a routine kinda gal, BUT, that just doesn’t work most days with 3 young children. Routines and structure are great to have, but I’ve learned that you need to be willing to get outside your box. You’re blessed when you do.

So ladies, if you’re like me and don’t have 100 spare minutes in a day to dig deeper into God’s Word, look for those windows of opportunity, because God will give them to you. My prayer is that we become (and remain) determined to seek after Jesus each and every day- to acknowledge Him, praise Him, thank Him and read His Word which is our life guide-our spiritual food.

Be blessed my friends
